Leanne is an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of practice across New Zealand and the United Kingdom, working in both acute and community settings. During her eight years at Child Development Services, she supported children and their families across home, kindergarten, school, and clinic environments.
Leanne has extensive experience assessing and working with children with a wide range of developmental needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Global Developmental Delay, Neuromuscular Disorders, and Sensory Processing Difficulties
Leanne is deeply committed to working in partnership with families, taking the time to understand each child’s unique strengths, challenges, and everyday environments. She is passionate about supporting children to build independence, confidence, and participation in meaningful activities, whether at home, at school, or in the community. Leanne values a strengths-based, practical approach and aims to empower both children and their caregivers with strategies that are achievable, relevant, and sustainable in daily life.
Outside of her professional work, Leanne is a mother of three primary school-aged children. She enjoys camping and tramping with her family, playing games together, and getting lost in a good book.
